Diary Entry: 28th June 2024
I so enjoy using these entries to take a moment to reflect.
Because life as a business owner and a Mum of 3 can be so fast paced.
With the endless to do lists, and the busy mind of someone wanting to succeed and get things right 🧠
It can be a lot.
The world seems to be moving fast too 🌍
In just 30 days since my last entry…
– The Election got announced for 4th July 📆
– Inflation went down to the Government target of 2% 📉
– The market reacted positively, negatively and then quietly 🤪
– Rates went down, then up, then down again📈📉📈
– I raised my own vibration with an incredibly empowering branding shoot 📸
(with the backdrop of “Survivor” from Destiny’s Child playing)🎶
– We welcomed 3 amazing new brokers and added 2 new trainers into The Mortgage Mum Training Academy ✨
– We were joined by another Case Manager, a Personal Assistant, and 2 Paraplanners into The Mortgage Mum Hub✨
– We announced our first Recruitment Day of 2024 🚀… and I ticked off a bucket list goal of playing an 18 hole round of golf, mentored by my Dad and Uncles ⛳️
But most importantly.
I feel happier.
More stable.
Less emotional.
Less unsure of myself.
I have a renewed enthusiasm.
I am brimming with ideas💡
And I feel as excited as I did when I created our first ever introductory course in 2019.
I think, on reflection, it’s because we’ve hit the “REFRESH” button🚨
At first it felt like it wiped out everything we knew 🪡
And it left me feeling exposed 🫢
But then I realised how much space we’d created.
Space for new ideas.
New faces.
New spaces.
New energy.
And I have realised how much power there is in that 💥
It’s brave to make space when you don’t know exactly what you’re filling the void with.
But it’s absolutely essential.
Because until you do, you’ll block the new ideas, opportunities and people from reaching you ✋🏻
Sometimes we wait for the new person, or the new job, or the new ideas to find us FIRST.
It feels less risky ⚠️
But it doesn’t work that way.
You have to be brave enough to release what isn’t right for you FIRST ✋🏻
And TRUST that you’ll know what to do next 🙏🏻
But only once that space is there.
Ultimately, life doesn’t make growth easy 🚀
But we must remember, that’s the whole point.
We don’t get to become who we want to be without the process.
The transition.
No butterfly skipped the shedding or the cocoon.
Wanting to skip ahead to the new wings.
And while I’m not spreading my wings and taking flight just yet 🦋
I’ve had some really positive signs to inch me forward.
