Diary Entry: 19th January 2024

It felt really good to reflect last Friday and so I feel there is a practice within this post that feels productive and important.

Even if no one else reads it ๐Ÿคฃ

Making time to reflect on your learnings is key ๐Ÿ”‘

So how has week 2 been? ๐Ÿ“

Firstly, it feels like Iโ€™ve been back for far longer than I haveโ€ฆ.

You know that feeling? When you go on holiday and by day 3 at your desk you feel like youโ€™ve never been away?

Well, itโ€™s not quite that but itโ€™s pretty close.

Iโ€™m thankful for more growth this week, and some highlights for me included:

– Being approached by the Ideal Home Show 2024 to be a Super Theatre speaker and for The Mortgage Mum to run their Expert Advice Hub ๐Ÿก

– Continuing to connect with every member of the team in our 2024 meetings together. These women really know how to blow me away ๐Ÿ’ฅ

– Running our annual Vision Board Workshop this morning which had AMAZING energy, and even more magic than usual โœจ

I must admit the Ideal Home Show felt especially great to me as it reminded me that having a baby is NOT detrimental to your career (and donโ€™t let anyone tell you otherwise โ€ผ๏ธ)

Yes, it may delay some of your personal goals but those opportunities will wait for you.

You have to learn to trust in the timing of it all.

Last year when I was asked to present and cover the Ideal Home Show I gave birth to Jack on the day it started ๐Ÿคฐ

Part of me thought I might miss out on my opportunity with them, even though I realistically knew deep down it wasnโ€™t the right time.

But here we are a year later, with my lovely baby boy settled, and Iโ€™m able to say YES to the opportunity! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

What is meant for you will never pass you by ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

And timing is everything โœจ

On the whole the challenges were fewer this week. Which was a welcome relief.

Less overwhelm โœ”๏ธ

Less sadness about leaving Jack โœ”๏ธ We are finding our new normal and I loved our day together in the middle of the week.

This is the beauty of running a business designed to give flexibility to the modern working woman ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

I get to role model this to our team without guilt

And the day Jack and I spend together each week is protected time that I adore ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿค

After all, itโ€™s not about how many hours you work, but what you make happen in those hours โœจ๐Ÿ“

But more on that next week!

Howโ€™s your week been?

Hope itโ€™s been a beautiful one.
