Diary Entry: 24th March 2024

On this sunny Sunday it has taken me a minute to think what the last week looked like.

Someone said to me a week ago “your weeks have the content of 6 months!”… and they’re not wrong.

But for those of you who know about numerology, I’m a “22”….. and that is in a nutshell why.

I grasp things quickly and I can sometimes get frustrated when I’m waiting for others to match my pace.

It’s not personal, it’s the way I’m wired…. It’s my numbers! 🫠

But I’m aware of it. And that’s half the battle.

The highlight for me this week, aside from my youngest son Jack turning ONE, was seeing my face arrive on a magazine cover for Mortgage Introducer.

An incredibly personal and intimate piece, expertly executed by Simon Meadows.

I had the interview fresh from maternity on my 2nd or 3rd week back, and it was a great way to settle back into my role and my story to now, and at the same time be given some validation at a REALLY vulnerable moment for me.

Simon and Mortgage Introducer gave me the title “Industry Icon”… But in that moment I was actually “Woman returning to industry after having her third baby and not sleeping through the night for over a year while still breastfeeding and trying to adjust to it all”

So the gift was more than the cover 🙏🏻

And it made a huge impact seeing it arrive this week 💥

We also had press released this week about our partnership with “Own New” and we are so excited about this innovative product and the opportunities it presents for our clients. Eliot Darcy

We also officially started at the Ideal Home Show and I can’t wait to speak there next week!

It really has been a great week.

I am so thrilled that as well as some career highlights I have had some personal ones too.

To celebrate Jack’s poignant first birthday, we held a blessing for him with family and friends who feel like family.

I got to sing a song to Jack which I’ll share in a separate post. And to take a moment in our whirlwind life to say thank you for the gift of him.

The weeks come and the weeks go.

And it’s so easy to get lost in the to and fro.

But my babies are my reason, they allow all this to flow.

And my biggest delight is seeing them grow.

So thank you Jack 🤍

Thank you Sienna and Joshua 🤍

I will always hold sacred the gift of loving you all.

And it’s you that drive me to create a world where women like me can thrive, as mothers and in their careers 🌍

Onto week 12 and this is an exciting one!

Easter, Ideal Home Show, new partnerships…. Bring on my last week before a big family trip awaits! 🇺🇸

From my heart to yours,

Sarah x

PS. How’s your week been?
