Mum of one, Melissa Cook joined The Mortgage Mum in January 2020. Melissa qualified as a mortgage broker in 2016 after wanting a change of career that would enable her to work closer to home after years of commuting
Melissa’s career background is in finance and of the 21 years spent in banking she has worked the majority of those in London with an exciting 3 years based in Hong Kong.
In a bid to improve work-life balance Melissa took a leap of faith and left her position as an employed office based broker to join The Mortgage Mum team and in her words, she has never looked back!

Melissa’s biggest passion in life is to travel. She took 2.5yrs off work in her early twenties to see some of the world but still has so many places she wants to visit and to show her daughter Ella so is always planning the next trip!
Health and fitness is a big priority for her and she likes to train first thing every morning to kick start her day. Her go to for relaxation is reading, yoga and family time.
