In the process of building it, Sarah created an empowering movement that enabled female brokers to create more harmony between work and home, without sacrificing their careers.
Women often face struggles in the workplace, especially when they become parents—with women predominantly taking on the primary caregiving role.This can have a huge impact on their career, with recent research showing that 1/5 of women have left a job because of difficulties balancing work with caring responsibilities and many others avoid applying for a promotion because it was too hard to balance work and care. But The Mortgage Mum’s business model works with its team’s responsibilities, not against them, offering an inspiring and inclusive workplace that has flexibility, career progression and support to provide a better balance between work and home.
As a business, The Mortgage Mum is an award-winning mortgage brokerage that offers a bespoke service to help its clients with their mortgage needs, delivering a fresh approach that’s dedicated to showing that mortgages are about more than just money.
No stranger to the limelight, Sarah Tucker made her first media appearance in 2019 as a contestant on The Voice UK.
Since then The Mortgage Mum media team have been invited to comment on BBC TV and radio, ITV News, Sky News and Jeremy Vine as well as written for printed press and websites, and speak on several specialist podcasts.
