Diary Entry: 28th June 2024

I so enjoy using these entries to take a moment to reflect.

Because life as a business owner and a Mum of 3 can be so fast paced.

With the endless to do lists, and the busy mind of someone wanting to succeed and get things right ๐Ÿง

It can be a lot.

The world seems to be moving fast too ๐ŸŒ

In just 30 days since my last entryโ€ฆ

– The Election got announced for 4th July ๐Ÿ“†

– Inflation went down to the Government target of 2% ๐Ÿ“‰

– The market reacted positively, negatively and then quietly ๐Ÿคช

– Rates went down, then up, then down again๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ“‰๐Ÿ“ˆ

– I raised my own vibration with an incredibly empowering branding shoot ๐Ÿ“ธ

(with the backdrop of โ€œSurvivorโ€ from Destinyโ€™s Child playing)๐ŸŽถ

– We welcomed 3 amazing new brokers and added 2 new trainers into The Mortgage Mum Training Academy โœจ

– We were joined by another Case Manager, a Personal Assistant, and 2 Paraplanners into The Mortgage Mum Hubโœจ

– We announced our first Recruitment Day of 2024 ๐Ÿš€โ€ฆ and I ticked off a bucket list goal of playing an 18 hole round of golf, mentored by my Dad and Uncles โ›ณ๏ธ

But most importantly.

I feel happier.

More stable.

Less emotional.

Less unsure of myself.

I have a renewed enthusiasm.

I am brimming with ideas๐Ÿ’ก

And I feel as excited as I did when I created our first ever introductory course in 2019.

I think, on reflection, itโ€™s because weโ€™ve hit the โ€œREFRESHโ€ button๐Ÿšจ

At first it felt like it wiped out everything we knew ๐Ÿชก

And it left me feeling exposed ๐Ÿซข

But then I realised how much space weโ€™d created.

Space for new ideas.

New faces.

New spaces.

New energy.

And I have realised how much power there is in that ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Itโ€™s brave to make space when you donโ€™t know exactly what youโ€™re filling the void with.

But itโ€™s absolutely essential.

Because until you do, youโ€™ll block the new ideas, opportunities and people from reaching you โœ‹๐Ÿป

Sometimes we wait for the new person, or the new job, or the new ideas to find us FIRST.

It feels less risky โš ๏ธ

But it doesnโ€™t work that way.

You have to be brave enough to release what isnโ€™t right for you FIRST โœ‹๐Ÿป

And TRUST that youโ€™ll know what to do next ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

But only once that space is there.

Ultimately, life doesnโ€™t make growth easy ๐Ÿš€

But we must remember, thatโ€™s the whole point.

We donโ€™t get to become who we want to be without the process.

The transition.

No butterfly skipped the shedding or the cocoon.

Wanting to skip ahead to the new wings.

And while Iโ€™m not spreading my wings and taking flight just yet ๐Ÿฆ‹

Iโ€™ve had some really positive signs to inch me forward.

Into Month 3 we goโ€ฆ Iโ€™ll let you know how it goes! ๐Ÿ“
