Annie Ryan

Being a mortgage broker draws together Annie’s passions of property and finance. She has always loved property and grew up watching all the early 90s property shows becoming an Estate Agent after university. Annie’s interest in personal finance grew leading to a new role in Pensions for a worldwide shipping company before moving to the Civil Service where she has worked in a variety of roles for the last 12 years, most recently within the estates team.

Annie is married with three children who really keep her on her toes! It was on maternity leave her with her third child that Annie studied for and passed her qualifications to be a mortgage broker.
“I was looking for a new challenge and studying for CeMAP really lit a fire in me, I was used to working flexibly having done so during my career at the Civil Service and was delighted to find the Mortgage Mum and realise I could seek professional fulfilment whilst still feeling like I fully participate in family life”.

Having previously been divorced Annie realised how essential and empowering being on top of your finances is. She has a strong desire to demystify the mortgage market for her clients so that they feel comfortable and confident in the solution she finds for them.

“I genuinely love talking to people about mortgages whether they aren’t even sure yet if they can buy or if they have already found the home of their dreams. It can feel really daunting approaching a mortgage, I’m committed to talking clients through every stage of the process, being there to ensure they feel confident in the product I’ve found and why it’s right for them”.

Annie and her family have recently moved back to her hometown of Bedford and in her spare time they are slowly renovating a Victorian house with many quirks! She loves to swim and read and walk whilst listening to podcasts.
